A really striking, bold Victorian fob pendant c1880, with a wonderful large clear natural amethyst of an impressive 14 1/4 carats, estimated approximately by size (21 x 16 x 8mm).
 
The large eye-catching gold mount (marked 9K, tested to confirm) has an Etruscan-influenced design with beads, engraving and a grand arch. The gold flash in the light is superb!
 
The setting is open to the rear so light plays around inside from the rear and side facets of the stone. Please note this is not (and never has been) a spinner fob, the amethyst is fixed in this position.
 
It is certainly an eye-catcher!
