This lovely Georgian locket has the benefit of a vacant, removable central glass compartment which is just waiting to be repurposed to hold the new owner's memento or artwork! A lovely bonus as these are often soldered shut with the original owner's contents. It currently only contains a bit of dark red fabric.

Tests as 9K gold.

Around the locket window is a border of seed pearls, surrounded by the coiled body of an ouroboros snake which bites its own tail at the top, signifying eternity and the cycle of life and death. The body has a wonderful engraved crosshatched texture.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 3/4" side to side, 5/8" high. 3.3g in weight.

CONDITION: Good, reusable antique condition - please view all close up photos and video. Small signs of a pin fitting being removed to the rear. A couple of little nicks/abrasions to the locket glass. Any display boxes/chains are shown for display purposes only.
