An extremely delightful, unusual quite early 1800s locket pendant (around c1840, we think likely French) with beautiful deep faceted bevelled natural rock crystal window to the front of the locket compartment in a typically Georgian era heart shape, with hinged locket door to the back.

Surrounded by an intricately constructed mount with leafy, cross-adorned crown, and tulip-like flower settings set with natural vibrant Persian turquoise cabochons of good size. The mount is made in silver with a gold gilt surface (tested).

I (Eve) absolutely LOVE the glittering effect of the perfectly cut and faceted crystal-clear edges combined with that lovely bright turquoise, and kept this piece back for a number of years, but haven't been wearing it enough so it's time to pass it along. It looks lovely with the locket vacant, can also display a photo or memento, or little shaker stones would be another sweet addition.

It has a noticeable and striking appearance in wear and will mesh equally well with with gold or silver chains.

MEASUREMENTS: 1 3/8" top to bottom not including loops, 9.1g in weight.

CONDITION: Very good, wearable antique condition. Please view all close-up photos. Some natural colour variation to the turquoise, mostly a baby blue shade. Any display boxes/chains shown are for photography purposes only.
