This fabulous late Victorian silver (tested, unmarked) serpent bangle c1880 - 1890 boasts a larger than average size of 7 3/4" around the inside, making it a rare find as most of these were made for more petite 1800s wrists!
It also has a fabulously characterful face with inquisitive round eyes gazing up from its feathery-scaly head, the nose also has a feathery texture. It's an incredibly endearing expression! We love these little Victorian snake faces and this is definitely a particularly good one.
The scaly neck ends with a little scrolled collar. The body is formed of one smooth, flexible coil, which simply opens up to be slipped on over the wrist. Would stack beautifully!
MEASUREMENTS: Approx 7 3/4" measured around the inside. 15.3g in weight.
CONDITION: Very good, wearable antique condition. One tiny pinhole to the scaly neck, mentioned for accuracy. Please view all close-up photos. Any display boxes/chains are shown for photography purposes only.
