A quite adorable silver snake pendant c1890 - 1900, its body forming a circular coil, the dorsum studded with a row of vibrant natural Persian turquoise cabochons. Its eyes are two glowing pinkish-red stones - the face is sweet with the mouth slightly open. The little tail tip wraps around the neck to form a knot. Not quite an ouroboros since it isn't nibbling on its own tail, but similarly denoting eternity and eternal love.

Marked 800 for continental silver to the rear.
