Wow! This unusual striking celestial piece is just on fire with colour and movement. It is late Victorian, possibly Edwardian in date, and looks like a glowing sun with little pink planets in orbit, with slightly pinwheeled seed-pearl rays shining out. Like a lit-up Catherine Wheel!
 
The gold setting confuses the electronic tester, coming up as between 9 - 15K, so we think it is likely a 9K base with higher carat gilding to enrich the colour. 
 
The large central stone is confirmed as a beautiful vibrant natural citrine gemstone, the bright pink surrounding stones test as paste. 
 
Absolutely perfect for the season ahead, but equally so wearable in summer too!
 
MEASUREMENTS: Approx 1 3/8" diameter across the pearl 'rays'. 4.3g in weight.
