A breathtakingly pretty and feminine Victorian 9ct gold necklace c1870 with one of the best turquoise heart lockets we've seen - just look at the rear side, beautifully engraved with a perfect hinged glass locket compartment door, and suspended on a faceted, glittery hanging loop! So many little details that set it apart.
 
The front is studded with bright blue pave set Persian turquoises, and the gold bow slider above with a single matching turquoise accent - the engraving on the bow is similar to the locket and all the elements of the piece do seem to be original to one another.
 
The slender, snakey herringbone type chain holds it all together and comes with the original secure 9ct gold marked barrel clasp. (All parts tested as least 9ct gold)
 
The locket compartment can be easily opened by hand to insert your own special memento or photo, and closes very securely, currently holds just a bit of burgundy velvet.
 
MEASUREMENTS: Just a touch under 16" necklace (15 3/4"), including the part threaded through the bow slider, so a shorter fit. Locket 5/8" top to bottom not including bail loop. 5.5g in weight.
