This exceptionally stylish, good-sized pair of antique French 18K rose gold earrings c1870 have an almost modern look, paired with the kind of fine detail you only find in handmade antique pieces.
 
Formed from joined tube sections with a buckle-like detail to the main drop and top wires, the drop section with finely engraved openwork to the gold and set with a central pearl. The top ear wire sections have a similar belt-like 'tongue' design and have secure back-loading ear wires which clip securely into place at the front.
 
The warm rosy-hued gold is marked faintly on the ear wires and tests as 18K throughout.
 
The flat polished fronts of the main sections in particular give a lovely gold flash when they catch the light in wear. Please ignore the slightly greenish tint in the modelled photo which is a reflection from plants outside!
 
MEASUREMENTS: 1 5/8" total drop. 3.1g in weight together.
