We love the unusual feature bail on this late Georgian locket pendant! Made c1830 - 1840, the locket has a beautiful graduated seed pearl halo border, matched by the big round two-row bifurcated pearl bail, don't recall seeing one shaped quite like this before - big enough to take a nice chunky chain. The locket itself is also a really good size, a bit bigger than most of this general type.

The gold is a mellow rose shade and tests as around ~12K, between modern standard carats.

Lovely curved bevelled locket glass to the front with a fine wirework border, and a hinged glass locket door to the rear which opens and closes with a secure click.

Ideal for holding a photo, memento or small shaker gems! Also looks great just as it is, with no contents - the lovely glass gives it a slightly magnifying 'pool of light' type look.

MEASUREMENTS: 1 1/8" diameter, 9.6g in weight.
