A charming, summery pair of earrings featuring two antique 1800s carved coral horse's heads, probably Italian in origin - the horses necks are outstretched with their ears back, as though pelting along at a gallop! Their heads are very sweetly detailed, down to the characteristically realistic shaping under the jaw. Very unusual. The coral is a lovely pinkish, salmon shade. Solid 9K gold top caps and ear wires (tested). They hang very nicely!

MEASUREMENTS: Drops approx 2cm, total drop from bend in ear wire to bottom approx 3.7cm.

CONDITION: Lovely, wearable antique condition - please view all close-up photos. On inspection the coral necks appear to have holes drilled through at the very top, mostly hidden by the gold caps, indication conversion this form historically, we think they were probably from an 1830s bracelet originally. Any display boxes/forms shown are for photography purposes only.
