An extremely prettily engraved little Edwardian 9K gold heart padlock clasp of decent size, with lovely secure closure idea for clasping a bracelet or necklace. The chased foliate swirls to the front catch the light beautifully. Extra little loop to the clasp arm for taking a safety chain if desired.
Assay marked in Birmingham for 9K English gold, 1907, with maker's mark 'P&M' which appears to be that of Phillips & Mayell of Tenby St, Birmingham.
Versatile and perennially popular!
